My colleague Roxanne has written an article about Sketch. ‘Sketch’ is a great program for doing interaction design and web design, but it is only available for IOS. As Roxanne mentioned in her article, Adobe Photoshop used to be the preferred program for web design in the past, but it wasn’t ideal. Adobe had the same thoughts and came up with Adobe XD.
Adobe XD for quick designing
Adobe XD is heaven for me. In the past, I used Photoshop for designing websites and apps. It was a horror to match margins, paddings, font sizes, widths and heights with each other. Adobe XD is a game changer!
You can create a style library for quick styling of your elements. You can create groups of elements which extend themselves.
You can design everything in one artboard. So you can keep an overview of all the viewports or screens.
Adobe XD for quick prototyping
When you are done designing, you can start prototyping. That’s super easy in Adobe XD. You can connect screens with each other and add a transition. Prototypes can be viewed in the browser and shared with clients or team members.
I love Adobe XD and I can’t imagine my work without it anymore.
